Privacy Policy

This Policy describes how Ecazona S.A.S. (hereinafter, "Ecazona", "we") processes personal data collected through ecazona.com, in compliance with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and its regulations.
1. Data controller

2. Data we collect
We collect identification data (name, email) when you subscribe to the newsletter; browsing data (IP address, browser, pages visited) through analytics cookies; and additional data (ID, address, banking information) only if you open an investment account.
3. Purposes of processing
We process your data to: (i) deliver the newsletter you subscribed to; (ii) comply with legal obligations (UAFE, SRI, SCVS); (iii) improve our services via aggregated analytics; and (iv) answer your enquiries.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent (newsletter and analytics cookies), the performance of a contract (investment account) and the fulfilment of legal obligations.
5. Data retention
We retain your data while your subscription is active and, afterwards, for the applicable legal periods (up to 10 years for financial transaction data, under the Organic Monetary and Financial Code).
6. Recipients
We share your data with technology providers (email, hosting, analytics) under data processing agreements, and with competent authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal data.
7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability and limitation by writing to privacy@ecazona.com. You may also file complaints with Ecuador's Superintendency for Personal Data Protection.
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures: TLS 1.3 encryption, access controls, staff training and impact assessments where required.
